A $5,000 reward is being offered for any new information regarding a Tahlequah man who has been missing for nine years.

The Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation is offering the reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for the disappearance of 26-year-old Stephen Adams.

Adams was a student at Northeaster State University. Investigators say he was driving home from school after taking a final exam. He called his girlfriend at approximately 11:30 a.m. on Dec. 13, 2004 and indicated to her that he had another person in his truck with him, though he did not identify who it was.

That was the last time anyone spoke with Adams. Neither he nor his 1995 white Chevy pickup, Oklahoma license plate number SCQ-714, have been seen since. Police say the truck has chrome bed rails and a red pinstripe down the sides.

The OSBI, Tahlequah Police Department, Cherokee County Sheriff's Department, and the District Attorney's Office have followed hundreds of leads since Adams' disappearance.

If you have any information that might help solve this case, please call the OSBI at 1 (800) 522-8017.
