An Oklahoma City man who was reported missing Tuesday night was rushed to the hospital Wednesday morning after being lost for hours.

A Silver Alert was issued for 66-year-old Johnnie Allen Stamper around 10:30 p.m. Tuesday. His wife called police after she returned to the couple's home in the 2900 block of Elmwood Avenue and found Stamper gone.

The woman said Stamper was a recluse who rarely left the house. She said she'd spoken to him on the phone, but when she arrived at their home Stamper had left in his truck. She was very concerned because Stamper had multiple medical issues. He'd undergone a quadruple bypass and had high blood pressure.

Around 9 a.m. Wednesday, Stamper was found on some farmland at S.W. 179th Street and Pennsylvania. His truck was nearby. An ambulance rushed him to a hospital where he was last listed in critical condition.
