Fire swept through a house near S.E. 59th Street and Sunnylane Friday morning, sending a family of four out into the snow and ice.

Around 2:30 a.m., a neighbor spotted flames shooting out of a window at 4130 Cunningham Drive. Firefighters rushed to the scene and found smoke pouring from the home, but all four people inside the house had already escaped.

Crews knocked out the fire within minutes. Firefighters say the house had no electricity, but was being powered off a generator. They say there was a propane heater sitting inside the living room.

Firefighters don't know if the heater started the fire. They are still trying to determine an official cause.

No one was hurt in the fire. The house sustained about $30,000 in damage.
