1 Cookie a Million Ways
4 cups Shawnee Mills all purpose flour
3 sticks unsalted Hiland butter, softened
2 cup sugar
2 large eggs
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking powder
1 teaspoon vanilla paste
Mix the flour, salt and baking powder together in a measuring cup or bowl set aside.
In a large bowl using an electric mixer beat the butter and sugar till fluffy. Add the egg and vanilla mix in. In a medium sized bowl stir together the dried ingredients. While the mixer is mixing add in the dried ingredients slowly. Mix till it is all combined. Now you can make different Flavors of cookies simply by adding in your favorite Flavors.
1/2 cup chopped dried cranberries + zest of 1 orange
6 Ghiradellhi dark chocolate and peppermint bars (chopped) + 6 candy canes crushed
1/2 cup coconut + 1/2 tsp. coconut extract Zest of 1 lime + juice 1 lime
1/2 cup mini chocolate chips + 1/2 cup dried cherries, chopped fine
Once Flavors are mixed in divide the dough into quarters. Roll each 1/4 into a 6x 2inch log. Wrap in plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 3 hours.
To make cookies: slice rounds into 1/4 inch thick pieces. Place on cookie sheet and bake at 350 degrees for 6-8 minutes.
