NORMAN, Oklahoma -

The University of Oklahoma volleyball team hit a collective .341 in a 3-1 upset of No. 21 Kansas in front of 1,078 at McCasland Field House on Saturday night. The Sooners finish the regular season with an overall record of 23-7 and 11-5 in the Big 12, while the Jayhawks enter postseason play at 23-7 and 12-4.

Oklahoma dropped the first set, 16-25, but won each of the next three; 25-17, 25-19 and 25-16 for its ninth four-set victory of the season. The 23 wins ties for the second most in the Santiago Restrepo era and 11 league wins is the most since 13 in 2010. OU is now 3-3 against ranked opponents this season.

After falling in the first, the Sooners evened the match by hitting .345 in the second and took control in the third with a .500 hitting percentage, led by five kills from both senior Keila Rodriguez and sophomore Kierra Holst. Rodriguez hit .714 for the set.

In the fourth, Oklahoma hit .290 and held Kansas to a .025 attack rate. At the net, the Sooners totaled six blocks in the set, including four by freshman middle blocker Micaela Spann. She totaled five kills and six blocks for the night.

For the match, senior middle blocker Sallie McLaurin paced OU with 14 kills and a .343 hitting percentage to go with a match-high seven blocks. McLaurin moved into second all-time for kills in a single season during the 25-point, rally-scoring era with 409. She trails Suzy Boulavsky for the program record of 445 set in 2010.

Rodriguez and Holst also reached double figures with 13 and 12 respectively. Rodriguez hit .423 and added 10 digs for her team-leading 10th double-double of the season. Redshirt-freshman Madison Ward added nine kills and hit a match-high .474.

Sophomore libero Taylor Migliazzo led Oklahoma with 19 digs. Brianne Riley collected a match-leading 21 for the Jayhawks. Erin McNorton picked up a match-high 49 assists for KU, while the Sooners were led by sophomore setter Julia Doyle with 45. Doyle also chipped in with seven digs and a pair of blocks.

Catherine Carmichael was one of three Jayhawks in double digits with a team-best 14 kills. Caroline Jarmoc and Chelsea Albers added 11 and 10, respectively.

Oklahoma will find out its postseason destination on Sunday at 8:30 pm CST during the NCAA Selection Show live on ESPNU.
