Convicted gambler and bookie, Teddy Mitchell, is seeking leniency at his sentencing on Tuesday.

Mitchell wants the judge to give him six months or less in prison for the sake of his 4-year-old daughter.

Mitchell's wife, Julie, was beaten to death back in 2010. Her murder remains unsolved.

Mitchell pleaded guilty to federal gambling and money laundering charges in July. He was accused last year in a grand jury federal indictment of operating an illegal gambling business for nearly two decades.
