Oklahoma State quarterback Clint Chelf is this week's Big 12 Offensive Player of the Week and Cowboy safety Daytawion Lowe is the Big 12 Defensive Player of the Week, it was announced today.

Chelf excelled in leading the Cowboys to a 49-17 win over No. 3 Baylor. He completed 19-of-25 passes – including each of his first 12 attempts - for a career-high 370 yards with three touchdowns and no interceptions. His QBR of 97.8 was the second-highest of any quarterback in the nation last week. He was honored as the national player of the week by the Walter Camp Football Foundation and by Athlon Sports. Entering the contest, Baylor allowed an average of only 17.4 points per game and 190.1 passing yards per game, but Chelf and the Cowboys shredded the Bears like nobody else has been able to en route to picking up perhaps the nation's best win this season.

Lowe spearheaded perhaps the best defensive showing for any team in the country this season as part of the Cowboys' dominating win over the Bears. With All-America candidate Justin Gilbert limited at cornerback due to injury, Lowe was often times called upon to play man-to-man defense with no help against the best offense in the nation and he was up to the challenge. He was also effective against the run, leading the team with 10 tackles. Lowe added a pass breakup. The Bears entered the game averaging 61.2 points and 684.8 yards per game to lead the nation in both categories, but thanks largely to Lowe's performance, OSU limited Baylor to 17 points and 453 yards.

Including Chelf and Lowe, nine different OSU players have combined for 12 Big 12 Player of the Week honors this season, setting a league record for most players from a single team to earn Big 12 weekly honors during the course of a season and matching the 2000 Oklahoma team's conference record for most total honorees from one team in a season.
