Vigil Held At The Site Of Plaza Towers Elementary

Plaza Towers parents are reliving the heartbreak, Wednesday night, of losing a child. They've come back to the spot where a tornado scarred a school and their hearts. Seven lives were lost in the process.

The EF5 tornado began its destructive path just before 3 p.m. It destroyed both Briarwood and Plaza Towers elementary schools, and significantly damaged Highlands East Junior High.
