OKLAHOMA CITY -

A motorcyclist died Tuesday morning while trying to take the ramp from Interstate 240 to I-35 in Oklahoma City.

A News 9 photojournalist just happened to be in the area when the crash happened. He and another driver rushed to help the motorcyclist before Oklahoma Highway Patrol troopers arrived.

The witnesses said the rider, later identified as 38-year-old Jeremiah Weems, was not wearing a helmet, and it appeared he suffered a fatal head injury.

Troopers say Weems was going too fast when he took the off-ramp. He lost control and the bike hit the center wall.
