The Oklahoma Highway Patrol cited the pilot of an ultra-light aircraft for DUI after he crashed into a pickup truck Sunday afternoon.
The trooper's report said it happened as the pilot was taking off from a private air strip north of Zena on Highway 127 in Delaware County at about 4:30 p.m.
The OHP says Edwin Rohman, 61, of Grove was piloting a 2003 ultra-light Powrachute Pegasus aircraft when it failed to get high enough to clear Highway 127, hitting a westbound 2003 Dodge Ram pickup truck's rear passenger door.
Troopers said they noticed an odor of alcohol on Rohman who refused medical treatment.
A passenger on the aircraft -- Jim Boyer, 63, of Seneca, Missouri -- also refused medical treatment.
The OHP says the pickup's driver, Patricia Mills, 57, of Grove and three juvenile passengers were transported to a Grove hospital with head, arm and leg injuries. All four were treated and released.
