BETHANY, Oklahoma -

Bethany Police said Friday a man accused of ripping off $40,000 in watches may have more victims.

The suspect was caught on camera again, this time stealing from a Ugandan man sharing his faith in America.

Paul Kamp cannot believe the welcome that one greedy Oklahoman gave his Ugandan friend, Sam Kiberu.

"The guy is driving around the city just robbing people blind," Kamp said.

Kiberu is the technical director for the Ugandan Orphans Choir. The group is touring America and sang at Kamp's church on Oct. 27, 2013. Then Kamp drove Kiberu to the airport, but they stopped at Golden Palace at the corner of Meridian and SW 15th and Kamp forgot to lock his car.

Surveillance video from the restaurant shows that a crook drove up, opened Kamp's car door and stole Kiberu's bags. Kiberu lost his wallet, credit cards, iPad, video equipment passport and gifts for loved ones he saved up to buy.

"There's a clip on my video where he actually puts his hands above his head and is just in total despair, so I was really hurt when I saw that," Kamp explained.

Bethany Police said the same red truck was also used in a $40,000 watch burglary a week earlier.

Police identified the suspect as 29-year-old Chris Don Johnson. They issued an arrest warrant for Johnson this week and he has prior convictions for stolen property.

"I think this guy's a cruiser. I think he cruises around to see what he can steal," Kamp added.

Kamp prays that the same hope the choir is spreading will rub off on Kiberu and maybe he can get some of his things back.

"I was taking care of him and he lost everything, so that's basically one reason I'm doing this. I want to do everything I can to try and get this guy off the street," said Kamp.

Johnson drives a red GMC Sierra pickup. If you have seen him, you are asked to call Bethany Police at (405) 789-5012.
