A woman crashed her van in northwest Oklahoma City after leading police officers on a brief pursuit Tuesday night.

According to police, officers were responding to the report of a couple selling stolen goods at a pawn shop at 6917 NW Expressway. A male suspect was taken into custody at that location. However, a female suspect jumped into a van and sped off, that's when the chase began.

Officers say they had to call off the pursuit a short time later. The van was soon spotted again at N.W. 86th and MacArthur.

Police say the suspect attempted to avoid stop sticks at 23rd Street. However, at about 7 p.m. the van hit an Oklahoma City police car and went over a curb, before crashing into two parked cars in a Carl's Jr. parking lot located in the area of N.W. 23rd and MacArthur.

One of the cars at the parking lot caught on fire.

The female suspect was then taken into custody following the crash. She has been transported to a hospital to be treated for minor injuries.

No one else was injured.

Police have not identified the suspects at this time.
