Today it has been a month since the launch of the Affordable Care Act and the HealthCare.gov website. Every day since officials have told us they don't have reliable numbers on how many people have enrolled, only that millions of Americans are visiting the website.

Well, CBS may have learned why the administration refused to give out the enrollment numbers; they were embarrassingly low, almost unbelievably minuscule.

CBS is reporting after the first 24 hours the website was open, despite the government claiming 4.7 million visits to the page, not six thousand, not even six hundred, but after 24 hours only six Americans had managed to enroll. SIX.

Kathleen Sebelius yesterday called the website launch a debacle. That's not strong enough. We might have to make up a new word to describe that kind of failure.

CBS is getting this info. from notes taken in meetings at the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services, which is overseeing Obamacare. Those notes were requested by and turned over to the House Oversight Committee.

After two days, the notes show the number had jumped to 248 enrollments nationwide. Five people working the phones in Tucumcari could have enrolled that many.

With thousands of people reportedly being dropped by their health insurers, it's time to come clean on just how many have been able to enroll in Obamacare.
