LAS VEGAS -

Country music superstar and Oklahoma's Own Garth Brooks will end his highly successful run in Las Vegas with a live concert on the CBS Television network.

The two-hour concert will be broadcast live from the Encore Theatre at Wynn Las Vegas on Friday, November 29, at 8 p.m. Brooks says the concert will be an "intimate" one that takes the audience on a musical journey of his life.

"Blame it all on my roots," said Brooks, "This is the soundtrack of my life. Growing up the last of six kids, music was the life blood of our family and as you can imagine, mom, dad, and each kid had his or her own favorite stuff and it all funneled down to me."

Brooks retired from entertainment in 2001 to focus on his family, but stepped back into the spotlight in 2009 to begin performances in Las Vegas. For the past three years, he's performed to sold-out audiences. This televised concert will be his last at the hotel.

Brooks is a Country Music Hall of Fame member who's sold more than 128 million albums, and won 18 Country Music Awards and two Grammys.
