A small earthquake was recorded early Sunday morning near Yale, Oklahoma.

According to the U.S. Geological Survey, a 2.5 magnitude earthquake was recorded at 1:20 a.m. Its epicenter was located two miles southwest of Yale, 18 miles east of Stillwater, and 60 miles northeast of Oklahoma City.

It was about three miles deep.

No injuries or damage were immediately reported following this earthquake.

A new report by the U.S. and Oklahoma geological surveys says more than 200 magnitude 3.0 or greater earthquakes have hit Oklahoma's midsection since January 2009.
