More details Friday night about a church volunteer News 9 told you about on Thursday, who was arrested this week in Yukon for having thousands of child pornographic pictures on his computer.

Investigators say they caught 64-year-old Dennis Mullins in the act at his home. Mullins sits in jail now after detectives found hundreds of videos and tens of thousands of pornographic pictures of children on his home computer.

"He was actively trading in downloading as we executed our search warrant, caught him in the act," said Lt. Adam Flowers with the Canadian County Sheriff's Office.

Flowers showed up to Mullins' Yukon home on East Meade Dr. Wednesday night. There Mullins was arrested after his home computer showed he downloaded hundreds of child pornographic videos and close to 35,000 pictures. Flowers says Mullins admitted downloading the files, but denied sharing them.

"He tried to say, ‘You know I've done a lot of good things. You know I've done some bad things, but I've done a lot of good things. I work with the community. I work with children, and I'm a counselor. I help people out at my church. I go to church Sunday,'" said Flowers.

Flowers says Mullins had been downloading child porn for at least 30 years. His files show images of children having sex with each other and adults. They were startling revelations that Mullins' Yukon neighbors knew nothing about.

"That's kind of, just kind of shocking, because I didn't know you know Yukon is kind of a small town, like friendly town, so I didn't think anything like that would happen," said neighbor Catherine Dunne.

But it did, and detectives are working to identify any victims of Mullins' child pornography.

"The children who are depicted in these videos had no say and it's time for him to answer for what he's done," Flowers said.

News 9 stopped by the Western Oaks Church of the Nazarene where the pastor says Mullins was indeed a volunteer. And because of the high number of downloads, investigators believe Mullins could face life plus 60 years in prison.

Mullins was booked on charges of aggravated possession of child porn, and distribution and manufacturing of child pornography. His bond is set at $200,000.
