A Tulsa teen was arrested early Friday for choking his father in a domestic dispute.

According an arrest report, James Robert Holmburg, 19, was intoxicated and arguing with his mother over a cell phone about 1:30 a.m. The woman was able to push her son out of the bedroom and close and lock herself inside. The teen kicked the door until the lock broke, the report says.

Holmburg's father confronted him, but Holmburg grabbed his father by the throat and began to choke him, dragged him down the hall and began beating his head against a baker's rack, the report says.

Some of Holmburg's friends then reportedly came into the house and pulled him off his father.

The mother said she was calling 911, and Holmburg went out his bedroom window, the report says.

When Tulsa County Sheriff's deputies arrived, they found four juveniles hiding in the yard next door. They reportedly told deputies they had been with Holmburg earlier and told them where they could find him. The juveniles also admitted to drinking beer that Holmburg provided them, the arrest report says.

Deputies said they found Holmburg in the back corner of his parents' yard, hiding under camouflage netting.

Holmburg's father had red marks on his neck, but he was not given medical treatment.

Holmburg was arrested for domestic assault and battery by strangulation and three counts of contributing to the delinquency of minors.
