The Broken Arrow Police Department says it needs help in identifying a possible suspect in a robbery at a convenience store.

Police say the robbery happened at 3 a.m. at the Kum & Go at New Orleans and Elm Avenue on Sunday, October 13, 2013.

Detective Sergeant Scott Lillard said the man came into the store, told the clerk he had a gun and to back away from the counter.

The man began asking questions about cigarettes when a couple of customers walked in, so he told the clerk to "be cool" and moved away from the counter area.

Once the customers left, he went back to the counter and demanded money. Once he got the money, he left the store.

Police say he arrived in a dark-colored vehicle but don't know the make or model. They say there was one other person in it.

The clerk never actually saw a gun.

Sgt. Lillard said the man matches the description of the man who was the subject of a "suspicious person" call 30 minutes earlier at the Walgreen's at Lynn Lane and Kenosha.

A man came into the store and asked the pharmacist questions about hydrocodone and morphine. When the pharmacist asked if the man had a prescription, he left.

Sgt. Lillard says the surveillance images in this story actually came from the Walgreen's because its system produced better images.

Sgt. Lillard says the man at the Walgreen's was with a female. Surveillance footage shows the man getting out of the car, getting an OU jacket out of the trunk and putting it on before entering the store.

Detective Lillard says all they know about the vehicle is that it had a spoiler.

If you recognize the man you can call Detective Sgt. Scott Lillard at 918-451-8200 extension 8756. You can also email him at slillard@brokenarrowok.gov.
