In a radio interview, Senator Inhofe made a dire prediction if the U.S. had "socialized health care."

"I said a person can find out here in the United States that he has this emergency situation where he's got to have immediate heart surgery, and if you are in a country other than the United States, a lot of them you can't get it done. In my case, with my age, that would've been about a six-month wait because I hadn't had a heart attack," Senator Inhofe said.

Senator Inhofe urged listeners to hold on to the medical system we have, saying he would be dead if we were in a socialized system.
