Oklahoma State junior Josh Stewart was named the Big 12 Special Teams Player of the Week following the Cowboys' 24-10 triumph against TCU. Stewart recorded the longest punt return in OSU history with a 95-yarder for the first score of the game. It was the second punt return touchdown this season for Stewart (he took one 69 yards to the house against Lamar) which ties him with Barry Sanders (1987), Darrent Williams (2003) and Dez Bryant (2009) for the most punt return touchdowns in a single season for the Cowboys.

Stewart, who leads the team in receiving, also added a 29-yard punt return in the game. He now has 286 punt return yards on 12 attempts (23.8 yards-per-return), which ranks second in the nation behind Iowa's Kevonte Martin-Manley (25.8 yards-per-return on nine attempts).

Texas Tech tight end Jace Amaro won Offensive Player of the Week and Baylor linebacker Eddie Lackey was honored on the defensive side. Amaro caught nine passes for 136 yards and two scores in the Red Raiders' 37-27 victory at West Virginia. Lackey totaled eight tackles, a sack, 1.5 tackles for loss and a fumble recovery in the Bears' 71-7 dismantling of Iowa State.
