The company has been in business in the metro for decades. Many people thought manufacturing in the U.S. was coming to an end. Now the industry is seeing an insurgence, and MD is looking to hire to fill a variety of positions.
"It's well known that Oklahoma City has the lowest unemployment in the United States. I think a lot of people forget about that manufacturing component to Oklahoma City's job force it's extremely important, it's historic and it's what we want to grow going forward," Mayor Cornett said.
The company employs more than 800 people across the country and 500 right here in the metro.
