NB I-44 Near Chickasha Reopened After Trooper Involved Accident

It happened at mile marker 87 which is two miles north of the Chickasha Ez-Go on I-44 where an Oklahoma State Highway Patrol car and truck were involved.

An injury accident involving a state trooper closed the northbound lanes of the H.E. Bailey Turnpike near Chickasha around 3 p.m. Thursday afternoon. The highway reopened at 4:40 p.m.

It happened at mile marker 87 which is two miles north of the Chickasha Ez-Go on I-44 where an Oklahoma State Highway Patrol car and truck were involved.

According to OHP, the trooper was keeping traffic off the construction crew with emergency lights activated when he was rear ended. The trooper was transported to Grady Memorial complaining of neck and back pain.

The crash remains under investigation.
