Police found two battered, bloody women in a wrecked Oklahoma City motel room after officers were called to investigate a domestic disturbance.
Around 1 a.m. on Monday, October 7, an officer knocked on the door of a room at the Days Inn Oklahoma City-South, located at Interstate 35 and S.E. 25th Street. Police say 31-year-old Misty Rae Nihart opened the door. She had a black eye and a bleeding cut on her cheek.
The officer could also see another woman, 37-year-old Winafer Dawn Cox, sitting on the floor. She was bleeding from a wound on her head.
The officer said both women were covered in blood. He asked them what happened, and Nihart said Cox had hit her over the head with a lamp, so Nihart retaliated by dragging her to a desk and slamming her head into it.
The officer said the fight wrecked the room; there were items scattered all over the floor. The officer also noted that both women were very intoxicated.
Nihart and Cox were taken to a hospital to be treated for their wounds. They were then arrested and booked into the Oklahoma County jail.
Nihart was booked on a complaint of domestic abuse with a dangerous weapon, as well as an outstanding warrant from Payne County. Cox was also booked for domestic abuse with a dangerous weapon. She also had outstanding warrants from Tulsa County.
