Two Earthquakes Shake Enid Area Tuesday Night

Two earthquakes have been recorded near Enid, Oklahoma, Tuesday night.

Two earthquakes have been recorded near Enid, Oklahoma, Tuesday night.

According to the U.S. Geological Survey, the first one, a 3.2 magnitude earthquake, was recorded at 6:28 p.m. Its epicenter was located nine miles north, northwest of Enid, and 48 miles west, southwest of Ponca City. It was about two miles deep.

The second one, a 3.5 magnitude earthquake, was recorded at 7:38 p.m. Its epicenter was located five miles north, northwest of Enid, and 48 miles west, southwest of Ponca City. It was about three miles deep.

Another 3.0 magnitude earthquake was recorded at about 1:30 p.m. Its epicenter was located 12 miles north, northwest of Crescent.

No injuries or damage were immediately reported following these earthquakes.
