The state fair ended Sunday, but it's left us with craving that delicious fair food.

Sherry McCray, who took first place in this year's Great American SPAM Championship at the fair, joins News 9 This Morning. She's sharing her winning recipe with us, Poppyseed SPAMwiches.

Ingredients:

1 1/2 sticks butter, melted

2 tablespoons mustard

2 tablespoons minced dried onions

2 teaspoons poppy seeds

2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce

1 package Hawaiian rolls

1 (12 ounce) can SPAM Classic, sliced enough for 6 – 12 slices

6 – 12 small square slices of Colby-Jack cheese

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.

Instruction:

Combine melted butter, mustard, dried onions, poppy seeds and Worcestershire sauce in a bowl. Cut Hawaiian rolls in half. Put sliced SPAM on each roll, then add cheese. Put top half of rolls back on SPAMWICHES and pour contents of bowl on top of each SPAMWICH. Bake SPAMWICHES for about 15 minutes or until cheese is melted. Serve warm.
