An Oklahoma man was honored on Tuesday for his help during the Moore tornado.

Cleveland County Sheriff Joe Lester surprised Joe Kinslow with the Guardian Award when he arrived at work.

Deputies say Kinslow helped with search and rescue efforts for several days in the aftermath of the EF-5 twister.

"Definitely something that took every body. It was a team effort. I mean everybody. From law enforcement, firefighters, EMS, to just everyday people," Kinslow said.

Sheriff Lester said he and his deputies wanted to make sure Kinslow was recognized for the bravery he showed.
