Police Search For Suspects After Man Dies In SW OKC

Police have reopened Interstate 240 at Walker, but continue to search for two men who ran from the scene of a possible shooting Tuesday afternoon.

Officers are investigating a possible homicide at the intersection of S.W. 74th Street and Walker.

Around 2:45 p.m., police say the victim was shot at an apartment complex in the 7000 block of S. Walker. He then took off in a car, and crashed into another vehicle at the intersection of I-240 and Walker.

The victim was pronounced dead at the scene. Police are not sure if he died from a gunshot wounds or from injuries he suffered in the crash. Police are waiting on the medical examiner's office to confirm the actual cause of death. His identity has not been released.

The condition of the other driver is unclear at this time.

Police say two men ran from the intersection just after the reported shooting, but it's not known if those men were involved.
