OKC Man Arrested At State Fair For Possession Of Marijuana

An Oklahoma City man was arrested at the Oklahoma State Fair for obstructing officers and possession of marijuana with intent to distribute. 

It happened just after 11 p.m. on Saturday, September 14. According to a police report released on Friday, officers were attempting to arrest a man for robbery when a large crowd began tightening in on them.

Several other officers commanded the onlookers to leave. Police say the entire crowd backed away, except for one man, later identified as 19-year-old Dawyan Booker.

Police say Booker did not comply with the officers' commands. Instead, he continued to approach the officers who were arresting the robbery suspect.

According to police, Booker resisted arrest as officers began taking him into custody, and he refused to walk when officers tried to take him to a nearby scout car.

Officers say they searched Booker's pockets and found 13 small purple baggies of marijuana and $122 in cash. They also found a small Crown Royal bag with a digital scale.

Booker was booked into the Oklahoma County Jail on several charges, including possession of marijuana with intent to distribute, possession of drug proceed, possession of paraphernalia, and obstructing officer.
