OK State Fair officials have given the 'all clear' and allowing visitors to return to the fairgrounds. Visitors were asked to either leave the Oklahoma State Fair, or take shelter in buildings, due to severe weather in Oklahoma City.
Just before 2:30 p.m. Thursday, fair organizers began telling people to either leave the fairgrounds or go into buildings when rain and lightning began moving across central Oklahoma.
On Tuesday, a microburst produced winds up to 50 to 60 mph at the fairgrounds. The storms knocked over tents and even caused the food booth to collapse. Three people were hurt.
