OSU Issues Campus Alert After Second Assault

Oklahoma State University Police are investigating an assault on the Stillwater campus that occurred two days after an attempted strong-arm robbery.

Oklahoma State University Police are investigating an assault on the Stillwater campus that occurred two days after an attempted strong-arm robbery.

On Saturday, September 7, around 4 a.m., a suspect assaulted someone in the area of Morrison Apartments. Police say the victim did not report the assault until Tuesday, September 17.

On September 5, a similar assault occurred around 2:30 a.m. in a parking lot northwest of Davis Hall along McElroy Road.

In both crimes, the suspect is described as a black or light-complexioned multi-racial male, approximately 5 feet 8 inches to 6 feet 2 inches tall, weighing between 160 to 200 pounds with a muscular build.

The suspect was last seen wearing a dark-colored jacket, gloves, blue jeans, and a ski mask.

OSUPD is urging students and faculty to take safety precautions. Officers will also be increasing safety patrols in the area. Anyone who notices suspicious activity should immediately call campus police at (405) 744-6523.
