OKLAHOMA CITY -

A police chase came to an end when the suspect crashed a stolen truck into a house in southwest Oklahoma City, early Monday morning.

According to police, just after midnight, an officer attempted to pull over a truck in the area of S.W. 25th Street and Kentucky, after he noticed the truck had been stolen.

However, the suspect refused to stop and took off, that's when the pursuit began. Police say at one point, the suspect's truck was going 80 mph.

The chase ended at S.W. 51st Street and Blackwelder Avenue. The suspect attempted to make a turn onto Blackwelder, but ended up hitting a curb and crashing the truck into a house.

No one was inside the home at the time. Police say the impact was so hard it caused the house to shift.

The driver has been transported to the hospital to be checked out.
