A pedestrian was killed after jumping in front of a semi-truck on Interstate 40 in Caddo County, early Friday morning, according to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol.
It happened at 2:16 a.m. in the eastbound lanes of I-40, at mile marker 101.

According to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol, a 2013 Volvo Semi was going eastbound in the outside lane of I-40, when a pedestrian jumped in front of the semi.
The pedestrian was then thrown into the south ditch. The semi-truck was able to come to a controlled stop.
Troopers say the pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene due to massive head injury.
The pedestrian was from Moab, Utah. Authorities have not released that person's identity pending notification of family.
No one else was injured. Troopers have listed the cause of the collision as "pedestrian action" in the OHP collision report.
