A month-long investigation into alleged methamphetamine manufacturing led to the arrests a couple in Cushing.

Cushing Police, assisted by the Payne County Sheriff's Office and Oklahoma Bureau of Narcotics and Dangerous Drugs, recently served a search warrant on a home in the 800 block of E. 3rd Street, which is near Cushing Memorial Park. During the search, police seized several items related to meth manufacturing.

After the search, police arrested Allen Lee Harmon, 54, and Rita Faye Harmon, 56. Both were booked into the Payne County jail on complaints of endeavoring to manufacture meth within 2,000 feet of a park, possession of meth within 1,000 feet of a park, and possession of drug paraphernalia.

The Harmons remain in jail. Allen Harmon's bond has been set at $50,000, while Rita Harmon's bond is $30,000.
