The Sports Illustrated article names several people who allegedly paid football players hundreds and even thousands of dollars.

One of those allegations is against John Talley, who works with the Fellowship of Christian Athletes at OSU. According to former OSU players, John Talley paid them for work they didn't even do, saying Talley was the "hot name around campus" and was the guy who could get them jobs to make money.

Four former OSU players Fath' Carter, Brad Girtman, Rodrick Johnson and Thomas Wright are all cited in the Sports Illustrated article pointing the finger at John Talley, for his involvement in paying players for working on his ranch. They said Talley "either grossly overpaid them" or "compensated them for jobs they didn't do." Girtman said Talley even paid him "$1,500 to $2,000 every two weeks" during one summer for working at the horse ranch.

Meanwhile, John O'Dell, Fellowship of Christian Athletes State Director in Oklahoma released the following statement on Tuesday:

"John Talley has been a valued member of the FCA staff for 20 years. I believe in John as a man of integrity who has made a tremendous impact for Jesus Christ on the lives of countless coaches and athletes during his career. The outpouring of support from both current and former coaches and athletes for John during this time has not only been a blessing for John, but a testament to his character."

From FCA's National Support Center:

FCA is aware of allegations made against one of its representatives in a recent Sports Illustrated article. FCA officials have discussed the matter with our representative and officials from Oklahoma State University. FCA feels it would not be appropriate to comment further while investigations by Oklahoma State University and the NCAA are in progress. - FCA
