Police Say Nothing Dangerous In 'Suspicious Backpack' On OU Campus

NORMAN, Oklahoma -

The Norman Police Department says only a box filled with light bulbs was found in a backpack on the University of Oklahoma campus.

The department called in the bomb squad Tuesday afternoon when an unattended backpack was found just south of Jacobson Hall. Students were kept away from the area while the bomb squad investigated.

Police soon gave the all clear after discovering there was nothing harmful in the backpack. No buildings were evacuated.
