Your 2 Cents: Alleged Mugger's Son Tries To Make Amends

Posted: Updated:

A lot of you share my admiration for the 15 year old boy whose dad was arrested for mugging a senior citizen at a cemetery.

Christian Lunsford met with the victim and gave her the money his now jailed father had given him, then Tona Herndon stunned him by giving the money back to him.. with a hug.

Great story out of a terrible situation.

Brenda wrote: "I started crying!!! What a Kid!!! He is a Role model for others!!!"

Jane says: "Bless that poor lady's heart she's an angel.."

Kendra writes: "He is a member of the Southmoore band, we are very proud of him."

By the way, Christian is using the money for a band trip.

Stacie says: "His "father" could learn a few things from him!"

Dorothy notes: "We do have some wonderful teenagers out in this world."

Karen agrees: "This young man is going to go a long way in his future with this kind of heart and conscience."

Lesa says: "Amazing on both sides. How blessed to have the courage and compassion it takes to forgive and restore."

Debi writes: "His mother and step-father should be deeply proud of him and Tona Herndon for having the love of God in her heart."

Finally, from Craig: "It's a sad day when children are having to apologize for their parents misdeeds, but what a sweet lady and a great young man."
