OKLAHOMA CITY -

A man says his neighbor stabbed him in the back following an argument outside their apartment building in northwest Oklahoma City.

Police were called September 8 to an apartment building near N.W. 122nd Street and Pennsylvania. The victim's girlfriend told police she was on her balcony, arguing with 23-year-old Megan Elam, who was standing outside.

The woman said her boyfriend arrived and convinced her to stop arguing with Elam and go back inside, but then he and Elam began a verbal altercation.

The victim said Elam pulled out a knife, slashed him in the shoulder, and stabbed him in the back before walking back into her apartment. The victim called police.

Elam was arrested and taken to the Oklahoma County jail and booked for assault and battery with a dangerous weapon.
