Bethany Police Name Second Suspect In Cemetery Mugging

An arrest warrant is issued for the second suspect in the mugging of an elderly woman.

Bethany investigators are looking for Timothy Strunk, 37. Police say Strunk is wanted in the mugging of Tona Herndon. Herndon was robbed of her purse last month while she visited her husband's grave site at the Bethany Cemetery.

Police arrested Shane Lunsford, 39, on Friday on charges of robbery and possession of stolen credit card. Police say Lunsford is the one that violently ripped Herndon's purse from her shoulder.

On Sunday, Lunsford's teenage son met with Herndon to try to make amends for his father's actions. Christian Lunsford, 15, offered Herndon $250 cash that his father had given him for a band trip. Herndon accepted the money, but then gave it back to him. She said the teenager's gesture was worth more to her than the cash.
