A Stilwell man crashed his pickup truck in Adair County, early Sunday morning, after authorities say he apparently fell asleep behind the wheel.
It happened at about 5 a.m. on a county road, two miles west of State Highway 59, and four miles south of Westville in Adair County.
According to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol, a 2004 Dodge Pickup driven by 20-year-old Bradley Glenn was westbound on the county road, when it failed to negotiate a curve. The pickup then ran off the roadway to the left and hit a tree.
Glenn was pinned inside the vehicle for an unknown amount of time before being freed by Stilwell firefighters. He was taken by a medical helicopter to the Washington Regional Hospital in Fayetteville, Arkansas.
Glenn is said to be in stable condition suffering from internal injuries.
Troopers listed the cause of the collision as "apparently sleepy" in the OHP collision report.
