Up in Guthrie, Mumford & Sons took to the stage to rock the crowd. An estimated 40,000 people are there, many have been braving the heat and living out of tents for the last couple of days.
It was wild up there as diehard fans literally moved their lives to Guthrie from all over the country. And talk about lucky, News 9 got a chance to sit down with the stars of the show ahead of Saturday night's performance.
As Mumford & Sons prepared to play for 40,000 people, fans from near and far who've literally built a tent city stretching several city blocks near the main stage, enjoyed food and music in Downtown Guthrie. Stopping along the way at local businesses and listening to performers looking for their big break.
These fans stuck it out for days in the heat, to make sure they got up close to the stage. And the members of Mumford and Sons were impressed.
And if you're wondering why the band picked Guthrie? Some fans were lucky enough to catch the guys around town. And those who didn't were even more pumped for the main event after days of camping out.
Mumford & Sons wrapped up around 7:30 p.m., but the festivities continue in downtown Guthrie until 2 a.m.
