The Silver Alert for a missing Davenport man was canceled Friday night after the man was found safe.

Authorities say 78-year-old Homer "Johnny" Smith drove away from a home in Davenport, Okla., located in Lincoln County, at around 12:30 p.m. Friday to have a weed eater repaired and was headed to Chandler, Okla. for parts.

Smith was last seen wearing overalls with a blue pinstriped, and light colored pinstriped shirt. He is driving a White 2001 Ford F-150 pickup truck with Oklahoma license plate number 165-ATA.

Police say Smith has dementia and has had a stroke in the past.

At around 10 p.m. authorities canceled the alert. They say Smith was found and is safe at this time. Police did not say where Smith was found.
