OKC Man Arrested On Child Porn Charges

A man was arrested on Wednesday at his home in northwest Oklahoma City on possession and distribution of child pornography charges.

A search warrant was issued for 33-year-old Christopher James Malbrough, after the Canadian County Sheriff's Internet Crimes Against Children unit determined child porn was being downloaded and distributed from a computer at Malbrough's home.

Investigators located a computer containing images of children as young as 6 years old being sexually victimized by adults at Malbrough's home. Malbrough admitted to owning the computer, and that he had been downloading child porn at a rate of 100 per week for the past ten years, according to the Sheriff's Office.

Malbrough also admitted to investigators that he received sexual gratification from watching child porn, but insisted that he had never sexually abused any children.

However, after being transported to the Canadian County Sheriff's Office, authorities say Malbrough submitted to a polygraph examination, and stated that he was very close to acting out his curiosity on children.

"This is a shining example of how this program continues to protect the lives of innocent children from the depravity of these sexual predators. There's no telling how soon Malbrough may have acted out on his sick fantasies," said Randall Edwards, Canadian County Sheriff.

Malbrough was booked into the Oklahoma County Detention Center, where he was charged with possession and distribution of child pornography.

If convicted, Malbrough faces the possibility of 40 years in prison. Malbrough remains in the Oklahoma County Detention Center where his bond was set at $20,000.
