NEW YORK -

News 9's Gary England took a big bite out of the Big Apple Wednesday night when he appeared on Comedy Central's "The Colbert Report."

Gary retired in August from his daily on-air duties at News 9 following 41 years as Oklahoma's top meteorologist. Gary is now the Vice President of Corporate Relations and Weather Development at Griffin Communications.

Recently, the nation learned about Oklahoma City's weather legend through articles in The New York Times and Los Angeles Times. Stephen Colbert invited Gary to be on his popular show, and quizzed him on Tornado Alley, and what his ideal weather name would be.
