Midwest City police try to piece together what led to the shooting death of a 20-year-old woman.
Destanie Lesson was accidentally shot in the back Saturday with an 1800's style war rifle. Her fiancé talks to News 9's Evan Anderson and offers a new version of events.

There are a lot of unanswered questions surrounding what exactly happened inside a Midwest City apartment Saturday evening. We were told Sunday evening an old rifle fell from a dresser, discharged, and shot and killed Destanie.
"I just don't believe she's gone," said Destanie's mother, Robyn Williams.
A mother, clearly in shock over her 20-year-old daughters sudden death, says she doesn't blame the gun owner, or the person who accidentally shot and killed her.
"I got on my hands and knees and I asked God to please, please spare my baby," said Williams.
But when paramedics arrived Saturday night, Destanie Lesson was already dead.
"My friend ran in yelling, freaking out, repeating himself, I just shot her, I shot her, I accidentally shot her," said Destanie's fiancé, Dalton Wilson.
Wilson wasn't comfortable showing his face during our interview, but wanted to tell News 9 what he says really happened the night his fiancé died.
He says there were four people in the gun owners apartment including himself right across the breezeway from where he and his fiancé live.
At some point, Wilson says he left to go to his apartment while Destanie and a friend got ready for a party. Minutes later he heard a gunshot.
"I walked in, and just froze," said Wilson. "I rolled her over on to her back, started saying 'baby, just stay with me.'"
Wilson says the loaded rifle was leaning against a wall by a bed when it fell. His friend tried to place it back where it was when it discharged, shooting Destanie in the back.
"He was just trying to sat it back where it was, I honestly believe that," Wilson said.
Wilson says the gun owner kept the old rifle in his apartment, loaded and ready to go for protection. The man who owns the rifle wasn't home at the time of the shooting.
More details are expected from Midwest City police Tuesday.
