Authorities: DUI Likely To Blame In Fatal Two-Vehicle Crash In OKC

Authorities say a woman was likely driving under the influence of alcohol when she crossed the center lane and crashed her car into another vehicle head-on in Oklahoma City Friday night. The other driver was killed in the crash.

Authorities say a woman was likely driving under the influence of alcohol when she crossed the center lane and crashed her car into another vehicle head-on in Oklahoma City Friday night. The other driver was killed in the crash.

It happened just before 11 p.m. on N. Portland and N.W. 192nd Street. According to the Sheriff's Office, a vehicle driven by a 20-year-old woman crossed the center lane on N. Portland, and struck another car, driven by a 40-year-old woman, head on.

The 40-year-old victim was pronounced dead at the scene.

Deputies say the 20-year-old was injured and transported to the hospital in an unknown condition. They believe she was likely driving under the influence of alcohol at the time of the crash.

Authorities have not identified anyone involved. The crash is still under investigation.

No charges have been filed in this case.
