A Bicyclist was injured after being hit by a police patrol car in The Village, Thursday night. Police said the bicycle was not equipped with lighting.

A Bicyclist was injured after being hit by a police patrol car in The Village, Thursday night. Police said the bicycle was not equipped with lighting.

According to police, it happened at about 8:15 p.m. in the 2200 block of Downing in The Village.

The bicyclist was southbound in the 9200 block of Village Drive, when it was hit by a patrol car with The Village Police Department. The police car was making a left turn from a stop sign onto Downing from the Village Drive at that time.

Police said it was dark at the time of the crash, and the bicycle was not equipped with any lighting.

The bicyclist sustained injuries to his arms and legs. Police said he did not want to be transported to the hospital to be treated.

The crash is still under investigation.
