Bomb Squad Detonates Suspicious Package At OKC Walmart

The Oklahoma City bomb squad has detonated a suspicious package found in the parking lot of the Walmart near Reno and MacArthur.

Around 9:30 a.m., store employees called police about a suspicious item found in the store. The workers moved it outside.

The bomb squad arrived and used shopping carts to block off an area in the parking lot. Included in that blocked-off area was a white SUV, but it's not known if that vehicle was part of the investigation.

Just before 11 a.m., the package was detonated. No one was hurt and the store was never evacuated.

Police have not said what exactly was in the package.
