An Oklahoma City little league coach is accused of a child sex crime. But the director of the youth baseball league he coaches in, and his attorney say "not so fast."
Chad Casula coaches a team of seven year olds in the Davis Ballpark Youth Baseball League.
Nine days ago, Casula was charged in Cleveland County with one count of lewd acts with a child. But the director of the Davis Baseball League tells News 9 Casula is going through a bitter divorce and child custody fight.
Casula's attorney Scott Adams says the charges against his client are bogus.
"This isn't uncommon in a child custody case. Everybody wants to make a big deal about it because he's a little league coach. It just takes one allegation."
Davis League Director Adam Davis says the fathers of two of Casula's players are deputies with Oklahoma County and Cleveland County's Sheriff's Departments.
Davis says those fathers are convinced of Casula's innocence, and have encouraged their sons to keep playing for Casula.
