A high-speed police chase ended late Thursday night when the suspect's vehicle crashed in southwest Oklahoma City, causing a chain reaction that damaged three other vehicles.

According to the Oklahoma City Police Department, the chase did not last very long, but did reach speeds of up to 100 miles per hour.

Police tried to pull over a Dodge Charger around 10:30 p.m., and soon learned it was stolen. The driver refused to stop. Police eventually suspended the chase because it became too dangerous.

Police say although they ended the pursuit, the driver continued speeding. One witness says the Charger was heading eastbound on S.W. 104th Street when it clipped a silver van, which caused the van to hit a black truck. The Charger also crashed into another vehicle.

The driver of the Charger has been identified as Stephen Cox. He was injured in the crash, but police say his injuries are non-life threatening.

Cox was arrested for unauthorized use of a motor vehicle, DUI, and eluding a police officer.
