A suspect first arrested in the shooting of homeowner early Thursday morning, is now considered a suspect in the murder of an Oklahoma City convenience store clerk.

Darrien Clark, 26, was booked in the Oklahoma County Jail on Thursday. And both customers and workers say he used to frequently come to the Four Seasons convenience store.

"I seen him in the area yes," said James Briggs, a longtime customer of the Four Season's convenience store. Briggs says he knew Habib Hajiimirzaei, the clerk who was killed, well.

"I don't see why anyone would want to kill him he was such a good guy."

Briggs says when he saw the picture of Clark on the news Thursday night, he knew he'd seen his face before. The surveillance pictures also confirm Clark looks an awful lot like the man police are looking for in this case.

"I'm glad that they finally got somebody," said Corey Thomas, another longtime customer. "Whoever did it needs to be brought to justice."

Thomas was shocked to hear that Clark is accused of shooting another person as well.

Clark was arrested in Bethany Thursday morning, after leading police on a brief pursuit which came to an end at with a crash near NW 39th and St. Charles. Police say Clark is wanted for shooting 39-year-old Garland Gilmore Lenoir IV inside his garage at this duplex near NW 63rd and MacArthur.

"The victim has very little to no brain activity," said Capt. Dexter Nelson with the Oklahoma City Police Department. "The victim is still alive and on life support, but it still is a touch and go situation."

And late Friday afternoon, the Oklahoma County District Attorney's office charged Clark was with the murder of the store clerk. The clerk's family had no comment about the arrest. And the family of Garland Lenoir had no comment as well.

Court papers reveal that bullets found at both scenes were fired from the same gun and that a fire arms expert confirmed it came from the same type of gun found in Clark's car.

Clark's background includes prior arrests for drugs, assault, and two armed robberies. Clark is facing a charge of first-degree murder, as well as a charge of felony armed robbery.
